The grades are used for driveline, brake, traction control, trailer towing and special test. Three test grades are available, 7%, 15%, and 32%. The grade percent is defined as the vertical rise per 100 feet of horizontal distance. Listed below are the grade characteristics and other pertinent information. Hi-Point Road is the west exit to the grades and intersects with the Northwest Endurance Road. The 32% grade may be hazardous during periods of adverse weather.
